I felt uncomfortable of having that Flower in the Dark(See previous post) on the top of my journal page.
(But still I would love to hear your comments about it ;-) )

So I wanted to post this. One of my favorites and I’m so passionate about it. Painted many months ago. I left it untitled. Can you feel it?

As I told you in my previous post, I am supposed to work, and I will be away for two days. Will catch you after that.
I love your use of color. Do you know the artwork of Jiang Tiefeng? One of the few pieces of art I own that is from a real life studio is one of his calls “Panthers” and I love it because of the color, like yours.
I do feel this painting, especially the movement. It feels intense.
Thank you Lisa, thank you very much.
I didn’t know about Jiang Tiefeng, but I just did a google searcgh and found some of Tiefeng’s work. I like them.
When it comes to colors my inspiration comes from this artist : http://www.bayvon.com/artists/bvkg038.asp
He is one of my teachers.
Oh yes! I see some of your work in his – especially the lovely familiarity with color. Very nice.
Love your work, Lohan – the colours and the textures and the forms. So vibrant – almost alive and breathing! I’m still a little ‘shy’ with my own work – but to see such vibrance and confidence on your canvases is wonderful.
All the best!
Thank you :-)
But I don’t understand what you mean my “shy” with your own work. Do you mean when it comes to depicting nude? Or is it generally about your art?
I mean that I’m still a little hesitant when it comes to exhibiting them to the public at large! I’ve had a couple of exhibitions a few years back, a mixture of photography and wildlife art – more mainsrteam stuff. But since then I’ve changed my subjects and style – which seems to be constantly evolving. Still trying to work out if there is such a market for such things…
Anyway my artwork has always been an intensely private, sort of meditative practise. Just slowly leaking it out into the world!!!
hmmm….how did i miss this one? you know me – i totally feel the looseness and energy. the colors are awesome too. chris
My artwork is here
Thank you Chris!
Hi. I am sending a message to everyone who has added me as a “friend” on LiveJournal. If you are getting this message, it is because I would like you to remove me from your “friends” list. My journal is “friends only” because I do not want random people reading about my life, so, since I have no desire to add you, you will not be seeing my entries, anyway.
Thanks. I am not doing this to be mean- just for privacy reasons.
Jennifer
Ok ,thanks for letting me know.
I like your painting technique a lot. I am such a bad painter. I can only handle goauche.
Thanks!I’m glad to hear you like the way I paint. :)
But I don’t beleive you’re a bad painter. You have such a wonderful sense of color and forms! And for me, goauche and watercolor are the most difficult mediums to handle.
love the energy – very free and loose.
and such happy color – how large is it?
Thank you very much :)
It’s 24×30 inches.
