i’ve read that before but it’s always good to read again – and i think i’ve avoided most of those pifalls over the years anyway by always having a very simple homepage that just links to galleries elsewhere, where people can actually buy my prints and other things from a third party vendor if they are so inclined.
whenever i come upon artists’ site like the ones describd in the that aritlce, i just skip right over them. life is too short to look at bad website design :)

Hi. I briefly went over that how not to display your art on the web article and found he listed my pet peeves: cheap sites with pop-ups, tiny thumbnails of a small portion of the art, etc. Heh, I feel better about my own site now. No ads, no pop-ups, easy to navigate. I would like a redesign sometime soon though.
