my art, art-thoughts, links and other writings…always an unfinished business
Tomorrow morning, I’ll be going to the hospital for a surgery on the sole of my left foot. It’s just a minor surgery to remove a callosity, and I will be back home the same day. But I won’t be able to walk that much for at least three weeks. I went through the same process few years ago. I hope this is the final time.
Today I continued working on one of my almost never ending “textured” paintings ;-) Layer upon layer…acrylic, charcoal, wood, mixed media… Took some pics during the process. I really loved some of the crops. They look like some dreamy landscapes that I could never paint before. Awesome accidents! Later, I’ll try going along that line as well. Two details from the unfinished big big painting.

I need a favor. My mother lives in a retirement community, and they are currently enrolled in a contest to win a van for the community. Alot of the people living there (my mother included) can’t drive, so the community having a van to run people around to the store or the doctor or whatever is a very good thing.
